well we've all gotten tired of catching blacktips and the 80w needs new line, the new rod ain't finsihed and my 50w needs line so we're not ready for the big boys just yet, been getting out on the water still and doing some fly fishing on the boat for snook at night. Went 3 times in the past week, first night I was a little rusty with he long rod but managed to catch some jacks and moonfish. I did loose a couple small snook and had a big one that every shot I put on her the damn moonfish would inhale the fly. Went sunday night and caught 3 decent ones around 20" out of the same light which had to have had 100+ fish in it, there was a solid 15lb fish that would not eat and would've got worked by her on the 8wt cause she would not move from under the dock. Should've caught a few more that night but the water was really clean and with the amount of glass minnows going threw the lights i don't blame em for not wanting to eat the rubber one with a hook in it. Went again last night only to get my go to light shut off on me but it happens. Found a light that was loaded with nice 12-15" grovers a a few snook, pulled a nice 24" fish out and 2 grovers, started heading back towards the ramp since it was a school night and caught 4 more out of different lights. Would have pics but forgot the camera all three nights, tried taking a few pics with my phone but they turned out horrible.
