Me, James and our friend Siave went to skyway for my birthday and fished all that night well a few hours. we got there around 11pm got our first snapper at like 12 or so and it was around 12 inches or so then i got the first fish on the new cabo witch turned out to be a 14 to 16 inch mango and some one was nice enough to give us a trout he caught. after we got the snapper we went to sleep then the next day i hooked up on some thing nice and then guess who pays me a visit Mr.Filpper so he has my fish in his mouth and i end up fighting him for a while and as soon as i touched the spool it popped. then James got slammed on a nice grouper and after about 10 mins in the rocks he finally pops it off but redeems him self by catching a nice Spanish mac. all in all it was a nice trip and i am gonna be doing it again very soon hopefully.i will try to get some pics later when i clean the fish.

Nice report..was the grouper your buddy hooked up on stuck in the rocks? You can get em out if you back off on your drag and let the fish think everything is ok then when he starts moving again yank him up out of there. It is easier in a boat though we always have the same problem at sanibel causeway.
