I went to Lake Worth pier Sunday with Mark and Adam. We put out a blure runner for bait on my deul reel with 80 lb power pro line. I went to the surf to look for bluefish while Mark watch my rod. Some one from the end of the pier ran down to tell me Mark had a sailfish on my rod. I ran to get my rod from Mark and fought it until it jump and spit the bait .The hook doubbled back in the bait. Mark said he got about five jumps out of the sail before I got there. He hooked it was his fish. 
How exciting!
I went to the pier Monday and everyone was talking about this. There were also about 5 runners being swam out.
Exciting for sure!!!!Outstanding land-based fisherman hooking incredible fish.

Sailfish in the past were quite common at that pier. The gulf stream comes in very close there or so i was told.
We see them about 4 or 5 times a day. Hammer's is the first I heard being hooked since I've been fishing there.

Just an average fisherman.
Must be quite a rush just to hook up with a sailfish w/out a boat when people spend a fortune chasing them down in one. Not many people can say they've done that from land that is awesome. Hope you guys can get one to pose for some pics.
