Me and the old man went out to do some fishing, we headed out of black point marina at 4:50 in the morning, and headed south of pacific light to do some king fishing and let me tell you was bumpy out there!!! So we go to 150 feet of water to drift for some kings I start chumming and throwing little dead sardines to attract the king fish when I see birds diving a little further off shore so I told my dad to head out and follow the birds, We finally catch up to the birds to see dolphin everywhere and we threw everything you could imagine at them and nothing would hit, so after 2 hours of trying to persuade the dolphins to hit I lost my short Cuban temper said Forget it!!!!! lets go back to drift for kings so I throw my 3 rigged ballyhoo's with plugs and started to wait when we got to about 150 feet of water my Penn 550ss with 17lb test go's off like a bat out of hell and I see a sailfish jump out of the water like 7 times, the best part of it was that very close to us was 5 or 6 huge convertible boats raging from 40 to 60 feet using kite's outriggers and all the good stuff were now watching me fight a sailfish I fought the thing for at least an hour and I was beat from the fight and the rocking and rolling. I just wish I could of got a picture with the old man cause he deserved it he drove that boat like a real captain and put up with all my screaming, but nobody was with us to throw the pics with both of us in it and I wanted to release the fish as fast as possible.
