I lost a really big one once off Pine Island , I had a BIG pinfish swimming on a #2 hook & 17 # Trilene on a 6' casting rod Snook Assassin" built on an 'Ugly Stik' blank / Ambassaduer 6500Ci
The pinfish was about the size of the palm of my hand & this thing just smashed it & I was luckily holding the rod ,other wise I would never have even fought it at all, I got him right up to the dock, {Capt.Con's restaurant dock} & it spit the hook
It just crushed the pin .
