Palm Beach Inlet near shore & offshore report

Ventured 70 miles north of Miami on I-95 to fish off Singer Island(Palm Beach)to try and entice a few cobia, some big bulls or maybe the elusive winter blacktip shark eating hammerheads that frequent near the Palm Beach inlet this time of year.Non of those species materialized for us on this day conditions were not right but got a chance to fish Palm beach on boat and had an awesome time fishing with friends Eddy,Jonathan and Colby and my cousin Benny. Here are the pics.

heading out under the Singer Island bridge to Palm Beach inlet

trolling the edge for shark bait bonitas soon paid off

Jonathan,Eddy and Colby at the stern reel in a few boni's in the 3 to 6 pound range

a bigger one

Fishing offshore in any area you don't have prior expierience is a bit challenging without the proper research. In the afternoon having not found the cobs or the bulls we decided to do a little drift fishing south of the inlet in 80 t0 160 feet of water and caught a variety of reef fish.

Jonathan with a keeper yellowtail snapper

Porgys for Benny

and the properly vented and released grouper that would not swim down ,,,probably eaten by a frigate bird after release

like u said, knowing more about the spots and where they r is always key. cobia r still around? thought they were gone till they follow the big rays back in the early spring? anyday of fishing is better than an awesome day at work

You can't catch them unless you try lol. Boat fishing is hard enough some days, and fishing an area that you don't know makes it real tough. Good jobs guys !!!!

Great report, Bluefish were everywhere today around the Southern Blvd bridge
I saw one Bull shark or a spinner i couldn't tell around 5-6 ft. chasing the school
right into the west sea wall on the south side of the bridge around the docks.
