Well the plan originally was to meet up with Ron at Sebastian because he would be in to get a load since he moved to Washington state. But he wasnt going to be able to make it till late tuesday night. So I decided to go at it solo.
I left out of Orlando at 4 am and headed south. I arrived at Sebastian with the sun just rising. It was a little windy and cool but it was looking good.
I decided to fish the north side jetty. Not knowing unfortunatley that the end section of the jetty was closed due to damage from hurricane Sandy. With that in mind I went at it trying to catch bait. The people that were already there were catching some nice sized black drum and jacks. So I attempted to get some jacks and after an hour I caught a few small ones and one decent one that was about a foot and a half long. So I got out the 12 / 0 and put the jack on it live. The tide was coming in so I was doubtful about being able to get the bait out but I tried anyway.
I was able to get the bait out were it was almost in the middle of the inlet. I had no idea how that happened but it happened. After that I fished for more bait but caught nothing more than a few baby jacks.
After two hours I still had no takers. So I pulled in the jack and decided to wait for the tide to change. I continued to fish for bait and managed to get a nice 20 lb ray.
Once I got the ray I decided to go back and try for a shark. I thought about it for a few minutes and decided I would just get all wrapped up on the end of the jetty so I moved down to the bridge and put out the ray. I cut one wing off and put it out on my Okuma 50 and the rest on my 12 / 0. Meanwhile waiting for a shark I fished for sheephead and managed to get two. One was 14 inches and the other was 19.
My bait soaked from noon til five and I had no takers. So I was convinced there were no sharks. I was going to fish till about midnight but I was tired seeing as I was going on three hours of sleep. So I pulled in the bait and it was untouched. Kind of a downer, but I was still happy since I helped Josh (blacktip hunter) catch a big hammer.
So I packed up and decided to go back out on the jetty one more time. I brought my small rod and had a topwater plug on it. I went out and the reds were boiling. I casted out a boom I had one on. Thirty minutes later I got it in the net and had caught a red on six pound test. I let him go without a picture or a measurement and casted back out. On the second cast I hooked up again. I could tell this one was bigger. I fought him for an about thirty minutes and had him in. After that the sun went down and I decided I was done. I was satisfied with the two reds I got and was tired so I left and went home. So all in all it was a pretty good day all though there were no sharks.

Here is the picture of the bigger red.
