Went out again with Capt John Peel.

I'm getting to know the ropes slowly about swordfishing.
We trolled for wahoo's for an hour with no luck.
We did two deep drops on ledges starting @ 1,200 ft deep that dropped to 1,500 ft.
I got three huge hits then missed the final hit!
Oh, well I'm still learning about boat fishing.
Sword are experts at hitting baits and not the hooks.

We tried using some senates today for the 1st time and the swords seem to like them.

The only other thing out in those waters we were fishing were tilefish and marlin and big dolphins & golden crabs on the very bottom.

Maby better luck next time. 8-)

Swords Are Truely Hard To Hook, Takes Lots Of Time To Get Them In The Mouth You Will Pick It Up Soon Enough Keep Trying ;)

around 20 min we had 2,000 yards out. top shot of 300 red mono, then 80lb braid under with 12lbs of weight on the bottom.

Our electric 80w tiagra broke on us so, I had to reel it in manually 2 times.
