Little fish and friends. (Monday report added!)
Been doing pretty good in my local spots just running around canals and the bay with people I know.
Friday night we ran out to a sneaky spot with only my penfishingrod.com all aluminum spinning combo. Within 6 minutes we landed two snook. Sovietsharker305 caught the first one and before he could even release it I said hold on, with the same rod and bucktail I just hooked one, we got double headers!

We also managed a ladyfish, snapper, and two jacks on artificial.
Our next goal was to acquire mullet to take to the next spot for snook and tarpon. Armed with a cast net we headed to a canal. That's when I spotted the golden ticket, I yelled, come here with the net. It was a school of jacks sleeping under a red light in the late of the night!
In two casts we got 10 killer shark baits.

Notice the one with the shark bite in it.
We hit the spot with 4 mullet on the wrong tide and I jumped a tarpon and we went home.
If I didn't mention it before, I've only been fishing with the super light pen fishing rods. The next day I went with another friend locally just re-exploring some of my old stomping grounds. We stumbled upon all sorts of neat fish and plenty of cute sized tarpon I couldn't fish for.

The first catch.

Another little guy.

Jacks were out and about.

Great fighters.

And this critter.
Next we took a couple of those netted shark candies to a monster hole... but the moon was as full as the sharks bellies and we didn't get a nibble. But one rod was CLEAN cut above the bimini twist by something.

Went out today to try for some little critters with more friends, we did pretty good!
Got a jack and snapper to start the afternoon, then a tree broke from under my feet and I took a nice fall on my back, so I went on to the next spot.
I investigated some local canals and walked up to one and got a slight scare when in the corner of my eye a leaf exploded in the water! What the heck? Upon further analysis I found it to be two masters of disguise.

A very rare canal fish, a species that thrives far out in the oceans.
The penrod has been on fire lately!

Sand perch.

Grunt.

Lane snapper.
The last great catch of the day. ![]()

Later that night we managed a ladyfish and a mullet and lost ladyfish, a cuda, snapper, and snook all on penrods.
Just an average fisherman.
Nice Report ,Slasher,
Isn't that fish caught on a jig an OSCAR?
That CHAMELEON, is that a Panther Chameleon?
I was picking up some stuff at a pet supply store & this guy was carrying a huge Chameleon;
I can't remember if it was a Panther or Jackson's Chameleon tho it was huge & changing right there ,
We couldn't get over the colors, real intense
That is one of the great things about Florida too the climate is suitable for those kinds of pets
I was looking at all kinds of Parrots ,Cockatoos,Macaws,we had a Parakeet for over 12 years! And my 1st one for over9 years and was considering Cockatoo or Macaw
every Parrot I checked out bit me tho LMAO! didn't matter how slow,or gentle or quiet I was with them , I got nailed every time LOL one really got me, he was in one of those open top table type "pen" with all his toys,
I went over to it & he came right to me , talking all the time so I put my hand out to him,
He jumped right on, walked up my arm got on my shoulder, & just nailed me right in the ear!!!! wow!! That was it for him.I said ADIOS & got out of there LOL
