Went out yesterday night to the pier, my first bait I put out got slammed.
I put a live 1lb blue runner out on a trolley rig, since no one else was there.
It was out for under 5 min, and the drag went screaming on the "4 0 wide."
dropped the hoop net got a 33 inch king minnow 
.
Next runner got hit by another king minnow 31 inch to the fork.
Some guys walked out the pier and ended getting the kings off me, so Luke and I had a good dinner.
got this gafftopsail pompano on some squid fishing for runners.
I'm going to the pier today, I should have another report for you guys.
Nice catches, those gafftops are also called palometa (not sure if they're the same species but they look almost the same minus the fin colors).
Just an average fisherman.
