Got back a few min ago from the beach. Tide was weird would like surge for an hour then colm down and then pick up again. Hooked up on a really nice shark that popped the hook the after 5 min or so harnessed in 
just like the hammer yesterday (both were on circles so I'm gonna fish all js tomorrow and see if there's a difference) anyway there was no wind and a bright moon and because if this I spotted whet appeared to be a VERY large hammer. wasn't a total failure though-caught a 74" jewfish maybe 200ish??? Stayin out all night tomorrow though so the hammers better watch out

your seem to be doing pretty good over onthe west coast, my theory about the circle hook is some how it got jammed in between the jaws akwardly and the shark crunched that tip off, I have tried circle hooks once but I missed every fish on them that night and got hook ups on the J's... jsut my opinion, there is a 4 or 5 page topic on here about circles V. J's find it and see what you think, or test it out for yourself
