Jetty fishing the Mullet Run
Fall brings high winds, high surf and the much awaited fall mullet run. Some of the best fishing of the year takes place during the mullet run and some of the best is from the many jetties up and down Florida's east coast all the way from Miami beach and north to places like Haulover Inlet,Port Everglades Inlet,Boynton Inlet,Hillsboro Inlet,Jupiter Inlet and as far north Sebastian Inlet and north. The bait schools bunch up on the rocks seeking protection from the hungry predators in pursuit as they swim in and out of the Inlets.Snook,Jacks, maceral, bluefish, red and black drum and other species of fish can be caught during the mayhem that is the fall mullet run.Get out there and fish because now is a great time to catch a wide variety of hungry fish all chasing the mullet just off the jetties.
