i have had some luck catching these sneaky guys. is there a good way to consistently catch them? I've heard morning is the best with a snagging hook. i wanna catch a monster shark and rays are the way to go. i had a moister shark spool a 9/0 with 1200yds of braid on it. so I'm coming back this year with a 14/0. any advice would be amazing.
Grace and Peace,
Mitch

I like to snatch hook em so I can sneak up on the mudrays and not spook them, although a gig works well with a little practice in the shallows. For Cownose rays I either snatch hook em or take the canoe out on the flats and Bowfish them. (NOTE: SAME RULES AS SPEARFISHING APPLY WHEN BOWFISHING). I had a buddy that was nearly cited and fined for wading around at the beach at night shooting rays and hunting black drum with a speargun.
