went out and got on the skiff bout 7:00 we hit the first oyster bar with shrimp and shiners. tide was super high but kinda slack and only were catching catfish. moved to next spot and caught a few small snapper, one legal snapper and my dad caught a 26" redfish on a shrimp on 10lb test . we threw him on the stringer. after fishing a while with no other bites we moved to the next spot(all these mangrove edges are withing eye sight of eachother) as they were dropping the anchor i tossed a shrimp up in the groves with no leader on 10lb test and before it even got to the bottem i had a nice red on. he ended up being a lil over 24". before i got my fish on the boat our buddy was hooked up on a redfish and it was also 24" after that we caught 4 more redfish from 22"-24" within 15 minutes.these were all for sun lol since we had our limit of 1 redfish per person and had a storm moving in on us. so took off. all in all we had 3 24-26" reds and a nice snapper and were home bout 10:30. we prob could have sat there for hours catching those awesome redfish!
