Ft. Pierce bridges Tutorial

I had a few people ask me where I was fishing up here so I marked the map
to help show the exact spot.
It's about 1 hour drive from Riviera Beach.

Get off at exit 129.It's called Indian Town/okeechobee. From I-95 go east. or you could use turn pike.
The road will fork stay to the left.
go all the way to US1 then go north on US-1.
You will see a train track on the east of US1. go east over that.
there will be a huge bridge, on the north side of the bridge there is a boat ramp you can park there.

walk out on the catwalk all the way to the end. Drop bait there on out going tide and hold on.
I've snapped a rod out here on a jew fish that hit a 5 lb jack.
I got spooled on my 9/0 out here also using a large 3ft bait.
The Big Circle on the top left where the white boat is the turning basin.

If you look east on the second map there are 2 jetty's on South side and North side.
The south side has Parking lot, restrooms, filet table with running water, & water fountains.

The jetty is a great spot to fish. lots of flounders, redfish, snook, runners, jacks, bluefish, &
there is usually small bait fish like glass minnos and sand perch on the bottom.
There is a bait shop called "De Brooks" bait and tackle. Great spot for frozen bait or live shrimp.
they have used and new rods and reels, also fishing line and rod & reel repair.
The North jetty is all rocks and kinda hard to fish off of.
it's really shallow on that side all the way untill the end of the jetty.
It's kinda hard to fish alot of people over there and parking is around $7 if i remember right.
there is a shower and restroom over there also but thats about it.
All i see over there is small bait fish and small cuda's rounding them up.
some snappers around the jetty. I'm going to go up again I'll take pictures and show the spots better
maby even have a fishing report this weekend if everything goes right.

Nice post Jimmy, not too many people would do this and even show where to get bait

Just an average fisherman.

Snook are a bit to big to keep tho...
Big sea trouts also...

Just went to this spot on 4-13-12
Lots of silver mullet coming out the inlet on the
south jetty at high tide.
Snook and Flounders were being caught with live shrimp.
I took pictures of the spot to show you guys I'll post later.
I got a bucket full of mullet and on my last cast I lost my net.
I didn't have it tight on my wrist and I did a long cast and there she went. :x
