got the map out and started burning gas .just like shark fishing you are always looking for the holly grail of spots .found a spot were the Platte river runs through wilderness area with no vehicle access .i camped at the trail head and caught a couple for dinner put them on a stringer and went for a hike .i couldnt stop walking left the camp at 1pm and by 6pm i said to my self at 7 i gotta turn around and head back to camp but the trout and the river wouldnt let me go .there were big brouwn and rainbows at every rock and turn .finly at 7:35 i start a fast walk back to camp .i get there its dark and 10after 9.i get a fire going cook the fish over open flames craw in the tent and the sound of the river puts me to sleep.

the spot were i finally turned around well i did look around the turn first then headed back to camp
next trip is going to be a lil longer and alot more pics

When I was a kid I would play in the woods and dream of a place just like that,,,like fishergirl said "this side of heaven"the mountains ,the river,the fish,the campfire the peace and tranquility I thought those places only existed in my dreams but I was wrong.Congratulations for having the courage to pursue your dream and finding it you deserve it Mark.Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

I am unbelievably jealous my friend, I have always told my kids and relatives that's where i want to go.
Having a house there and one in the keys would be my Best dream fulfilled 
And by house i mean like a log cabin/Hunting lodge type place....
