This trip took place during 6th - 15th Nov 2013, 6 anglers with about 300kg of fishing gears and equipment set off from Singapore to this much anticipated locations in a remote part of Indonesia Banda Sea. This was a 9 days live-on-board trip.

We travelled from Singapore -> Jarkarta -> domestic flight (Kupang) -> domestic flight to Alor. (in 36hours non stop)

Fishing consists of trolling, popping, jigging, deep dropping and of course Sharking !! We have a fair bit of gears on board as we wasn't sure what to expect.

PE 6-10 Ripple fisher, Smith, Jigging Master, Hots, Stella and Saltigal for popping and jigging.

80W Tiagras and ATD game reel with calstar unlimited for trolling and live baiting for sharks.

Miyas Epoch CX9 and SP15 with calstar unlimited for deep dropping ( for sword and deep water giant grouper ).

As much as we prepare ourselves mentality and physically, we could not beat mother nature..... the bad catch report was largely due to a pending underwater earthquake that happen right after our trip end. Thats' explains why the fished was not biting and was totally not aggressive at all throughout that few days. The current for that few days was totally out of the prediction based on the moon phase calendar.

Well, there was a few bites missed here and there but no hook up and luck was not on our side. Nothing Significant landed...... What to do? that is fishing ! we dun always win..... Well, the group after our trip apparently as reported by our captain landed a couple of big dogtooth and a board bill.

Enjoy the video and the pictures!!

Thats all Folks !! until the next time !!

Nice report, they have a lot of different species than the ones I'm used to. That barracuda was massive, did you weigh it?

Just an average fisherman.

Yes. Wide species of fishes available in our tropical country. The barracuta was not weighted, its was cutted up for bait.

the catch is considered terrible for a LOB 7D6N trip....... a lot of waiting, travelling and a couple of missed hook ups......
