Crosthwait Memorial fishing tournament win
I don't have pictures of all our fish since we deleted them wehen we gave the copies to the tournament for our points but just wanted to put this up. Recently me and 3 of my best friends wont the Crosthwait Memorial Fishing tournament. After catching 12 23inch snook which unforunately counted for nothing these were followed by 17inch red fish which count for nothing the snook needed to be 24 and redfish 18 so after changing tactics and wading we caught two monster flounder this was followed by a nice trout and then the weather got nasty which ruined our plans to make a long run to some good docklight spots but fishing that afternoon around the marina where we park our bait we pulled two 15inch snapper out of one of our favorite spots and we finished the night by fishing the docks within a mile til about 1am and went home to sleep til 4am and went fishing again and fishing in the morning would prove to be absolutely horrible we already had bait in our bait pins at the dock so that wasn't an issue we were blessed the whole tournament by loading up 35 gallons of well space twice with greenbacks or shinners. Finally we got the bite all eyes were on the water and we grabbed the net in anticipation it was a fat 20inch trout we really needed that fish to turn in our 6 fish limit exhausted we headed tot he dock for weigh in and we knew although we hadn't caught the highest quality game fish the weight of these fish would be bonus points. We rounded out just under 200 points we knew last year 206 won our division so we had hope we knew that if we had won we would get texted or called for a polygraph and every time we heard the sound of a text on our captain evan's phone we all got excited but it was just some friends of ours not the committee finally when we were 10 mins away we heard another i grabbed the phone read the message and a smile came across my face we began celebrating then reality sunk in we still had to take a polygraph only the captain however took it although in our hearts we knew we did nothing wrong we were worried about our shy Captain Evan but all worked out id like to thank our sponsor Legendary Tree Services..and my whole team bought some shark gear with my money and am saving for a new big reel to fish Big Hammer challenge 2013! (:
