After seeing alotta boats coming in with huge muttons and XXL cobia. Decided to net some bait and go hunt a big1. Started out slow no hits thru a couple of sets over the reef then I hear the yell shadow.. I think yes! There's the cobia. But then the bill breaks water and the sail is up! Its a sail I hear I yell and he is all over my flatlined pilchard. Only on a 12lb test spinning setup .. he catches tho pilch. I bow bail open count 6 then lay the triple set on him! He's airborn! Fight went on. Landed him about 35lb on 12 lb spinner wjay fun!!! And she swims away to give the next angler a fun show! Aboit 20 min later a friend on the boat hooks up on bottom 10oz lead and it jumps!!?? A sail!! Another sail!! Fight is on again we have to chase this 50lber down. As we do we run over a weed line and o see the dolphin. We rapidly get him on the boat and pictures and release.. and shoot bach to the weeds. I throw a livey it barely hit the water when the 20lb dolphin started jumping! Anout 20 min later the gaff hits him I'm relieved thay my little spinner with alreasdy frayed 12lb test from the sail held up agaonst this nive fosh! What a blast!!! Pics to come.
