Caught this guy near the Gandy Bridge ( tampa side) while out shark fishing
This gal had a 44” wingspan and measured over 50”. Someone beat me to the barb so I wasn’t able to keep it for a souvenir. However I got a few nice snap shots, instead. I set it free to fight another day.

Bait: fresh half ladyfish

thanks! biggest sting ray yet. the fight was about 15 minutes. not too bad on the 6/0. almost had it cut off twice by a crab trapper and another boater.
Hope the next report will be a bigger one.

nice ray and if you like the fight with em i used to catch them off the flagler beach pier year round and they monster that one we've had some that were easy 8 across and about a foot tall belly to back but that one is definitely a nice for 3 baits good catch
