Sat the 2nd I was asked to fish a local tourney with a couple friends. Glad I said yes! We got a big AJ a nice mutton and a giant cero some small blackfin and plenty of bonita. But right at lines up I spotted a weed patch in about 120' of water . Thought I saw some blues and greens shooting around when we got closer the fish were gone. But I grabbed my 12-20 chaos custom with a Calcutta on it that had a chaos lure o. It 20lb test that I was using to troll for tuna earlier. And just pitched it off the side as the boat began to move I saw the big sail and bill dart after it! I was hooked up! After numerous jumps and runs she was to the boat! What a beautiful fish! Caught and released! Even though she was legal size! Had to release it. Was such a great opponent it deserved to swim off to share that fight with another luck angler. Not bad for my first landed sail. Hooked numerous never landed one until now
