0 for 3 Kayak Tarpon 3/14/10

Finally got a chance to fish due to a job cancellation last night . With a strong west wind I figured I would try at a spot I knew should be productive in this type of weather. Fished all day and hooked up three nice little tarpon . Two fish were in the three foot range and one was over forty. Had each fish leadered at my yak but I had a real aggressive bull gator that was determined to have a tarpon for dinner . Had to put my camera down and concentrate on getting the fish released safely each time . I feel I legally had them all landed , just don't have the pictures for proof . Oh well , that's how it goes sometimes . It was still a good day to be out of the house . Here's a few pictures I took . Didn't come out to well for what I wanted but these younger tarpon are fast little silver wiggle missiles , like taking a picture of a falling star. FYI , started out with artificials with no luck . Had all my bites on a small Mayan Cichlids , about three inches , fished under a float . Wind has been brutal , can't wait to hit the beach for some sandbars that I'm sure are waiting for me
