Something about dolphin makes it one of the worst shark baits I've ever seen. Only caught nurse sharks on them and often gotten no hits at all. I would keep searching for bait. That wahoo carcass on the other hand is a nice bull or lemon bait.

Just an average fisherman.

I'm with Mark on this one. I have to admit though, I have caught one sandbar on a dolphin carcass, but for the most part.. yeah... nurse sharks.

A large Dolphin carcass got the Milke Palmer prodigies Josh Maib(Taponking)and a few friends an over 12 ft male Hammerhead shark estimated at 700 lbs on Jensen beach 4 years ago so don't be so quick to discard any fresh bait available to the land based shark fishermen. The key word here is fresh, oozing blood most sharks will not pass up a fresh a bait regardless. Some baits are definetly better but to say that only Nurse sharks eat dolphin wouldn not be correct.Nurse sharks will suck and chomp on any bait and destroy your biggest Monster intended morsels leaving you only the skin looking like a sucked out ALIEN silver shiny skin and all.
