Hey guys im gonna fill you in on a secret in case you don't know this ,,,,,,the pawnshops in your neighborhood are one of the best sources for finding the big shark tackle you're looking for.I know from expierience i own a pawnshop (Advantage Pawn and Loan in the City of West Park)and over the years my brother and i have come across more then our fair share of 9/0s,10/0s,12/0s,14/0s,16/0s,Penn internationals,Shimano Tiagaras,Duels, you name it- it 's come thru our shop and been out for sale at one point or another.
PAWNSHOP HUNTING
The best and fastest way to speed up your hunt is to get the yellow pages and just start calling every single pawnshop that has an ad in the yellow pages.Another great idea is to stop in when you see one on your daily commute to work and back.My friend Nick (Fl shark Hunter)is a master at pawnshop hunting and he will attest at how well he's done by checking out the local pawnshops in the neighborhood. If you are dilligent in your search you will find more tackle in one week then you can actually afford to buy.Give it a try i guarantee you you will have success.Good luck.

Pawn shops are a great place to hunt for tackle, just dont be afriad to haggle the price. They want to sell it,if you meet on a fair price it will be yours. On top of that i can tell you that garage sales are great as well. You will find all types of goodies from reels to rods.I just picked up a 4/0 wide in great shape for 5.00 you cant beat that anywhere.Agian dont be afriad to haggle for the price.
Great information guy's & very correct. I've seen some pretty good deals in pawn shops & bought my son's 10/0 & rod in one.I got a better deal on the combo due to a spun reel seat & walked out with a big smile rather than rubbing my back side. Another place is estate sales, these people most of the time have no idea what they got & just want to empty the house of its belongings. Last one is at the flea market/swap shop. Before my accident,I scored a very nice Harrington 550 for $40. These deals are out there so good luck!
