I am very reluctant to sell this reel because it was given to me by my Uncle who bought it back in 1980. However, i really need the money right now so i have to do it, but only for the right price.. The reel is like i stated in the heading, Brand New in box never been used, now flaws, no scratches, no nothing! It is pristine, a collector. I am going to take a shot in the dark here and make my asking price starting at $450, which i think is very reasonable considering used ones that are beat up go for around $250 and decent condition ones go for $300+.. Yes, but this is a Brand New VINTAGE 1980 Senator, that has NEVER been used, making it a colletors item.. catch watch im saying..
but the reason the 16/0s are collectors items is because they dont make them at all anymore 12/0s are still being made i understand there not the vintage but you can get a 16/0 for 600$ in mint condition with the box if you decide to come down on the price shoot me a pm ill give you 325$

Thats not an old style chrome over brass spool, On the side of the box it states one piece heavy duty cast spool. Only difference from then and now is now there black and then there natural polished aluminum .

That IS an old style spool (chrome over brass) - the new spools are black anodized aluminum. The old spool holds more line but the newer spool is stronger.
