Selling a great surf fishing combo here. The rod has been gently fished for 2 years and the reel was purchased this July. I am selling the combo to move to a smaller 8' set up that I can use at the pier as well as the beach.
St. Croix 10'6" rated for 10-20lb mono and 3/4 - 4oz (MSS106MM2). This is a beautiful rod that can bomb baits. http://www.stcroixrods.com/products/saltwater/mojo-surf It has some minor scratches where the two pieces connect and where the xflock rubs the rod holder. This rod is perfect for surf reds and small sharks. Its caught me a bruiser red at Folly pier. It can also cast spoons for blues and heavier Got-cha plugs for Spanish Maks and big Blues in the summer. Asking $155.
Shimano Ultegra Ci4+. The reel that I am selling is brand new to the US. Its specifically designed for surf casting. The spool is very tall and designed for the braid to smoothly fly off while putting out 33lbs of drag. I have the box, paper work, and 2 additional spools. Asking $270.
