Didn't really get to do any serious fishing this weekend so I am getting ready to target sharks off the bridges. I am trying to get a shark over 8' off a bridge this year.

Bring it on big fish

If you value your rod and are getting ready to fish a bridge or pier that is the best way to protect your investment. You may wish to go totally IGFA and not lean the rod and that's great, but guess what when that 14 foot MONSTER OF A LIFETIME IS GOING UNDER THE HOSE WILL CUSHION THE ROD and save you from losing that monster specially if you have the double line or windon leader allready in your reel and it's up to your monster meat stick to pop his head up and get him away from the piling,s,,,,,you'll be glad you have that hose it's a lifesaver.
