I still haven't spooled my 14/0 and I think ive settled on momoi hi-catch nylon mono in the 130lbs category. Now I need to decide Dark blue or flourescent yellow. I have heard of Spanish mackeral hitting bright floored lines. Is this a problem for you guys or not thanks.

Never had a Mack or bluefish bite MY line but hear about it happening. I have needlefish chase my line around  so I know they're seeing it but they don't really hurt it. Myself being a Jarhead I always opt to try to blend in my environments. I usually go with clear or dark green lines if I have a choice. I think its more of a personal preference if you ask me. Ive never really thought there was a benefit to bright colored lines unless I'm using a bright colored braid as backing and darker mono as topshot. Then you can see the backing/topshot connection coming a mile away (I like to stay on my topshot as much as possible).

I stay away from bright colored lines as I have seen them cut more often while taken out on long drops. Other than what was stated above about seeing the bright braid underneath the only other use to me is for night time rigging and casting if using a spinning setup for snook. Id stick to dark

I think in 90% of scenarios your color of line doesn't make a difference... take it from a guy who has the rainbow on his orange 12/0 set on a darker rainbow rod and uses rainbow hooks... I should be sponsored by Skittles. 8-)

Not to mention much time of last year when I set up a leader for my weighted treble hooks to snag fish in the face... I snagged more on the high vis. line lol.

Just an average fisherman.
