Really do appreciate it guys! All of my clients fish their rods, and alot of them come up with their own ideas for their builds, I just try my best to bring their wild ideas to life for them.Sure eventually you'll get your scratches and nicks on them through the years but that's really nothing to fix,a simple light sanding & reglassing is all it would take ..Amazingly though as of yet I havnt had a single rod come back yet though for a reglassing and I have built thousands,so folks must take care of them pretty darn well
You can check out quite a few of my other past builds on my video channel,(currently over 450 videos to enjoy) which I have posted the link to right here~ http://www.youtube.com/user/Sikus1965?feature=mhee

Nope not at all ,,I glass over all of my marble finishes with several coats of clear..doing so not only gives added UV protection(a true must in hot climates) but also added protection to the blank and finish

A rod like that is good to buy it and expose it somewhere around the house or into a tackle shop for customers to see it. Other then that, the weight and efficiency is way off, not to mention that the amount of epoxy on that blank, changes the action of the blank (not just somewhat). Do the blank manufacture even honor the warranty when the blank is loaded like that with epoxy? I would like to find that out. But you already know that, even though you got it down to "science".
Very nice art work, but let's not forget that fish don't care how the rod look like.
I'm sure there are many art blinded people buying a crazy rod like that. I doubt they are down to earth when comes to chose a rod like that for around $1,000 with shipping included.

Buddy I have been rodsmithing for dam near 28 years now and by now its all down to a science, from rod balance to performance,,the marbled guide wraps my friend do not change the action of the blank, nor does a top coat finish of flexcoat ,,all manufacturers honor warrantys, especially so when the blank is protected with a topcoat finish ,as the blank is far less likely to get damaged, nicked ect with the top coat,it's also much more protected from the harmful UV rays.My client who purchased the rod will be shark fishing with it from destinations around the world and will be sending in plenty of pictures that I will be sure to post them all to show you just how much the action of the rod has been effected.,,perhaps shop around more to see just what you can get for a custom for under $1000.00
I certainly can build them plain Jane or get as crazy as folks hearts desire, and if you have a look through my videos, you'll find that there are countless folks out there who love the rods to show off a type of personality or to have a secret weapon rod to break out.I look forward to posting the pics of the rod in action and the fish he lands with it 8-)
Thank you for the comments, and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask :D
