I've been wanting to have a 10ft unlimited class rod built for a 130 reel and possibly switch an everol 18/0 on to the rod down the road. My question is what kind of 10ft unlimited class blanks are out there that would accommodate my size of reel? Money is not of big concern for this build so any advice relating to the best components or build of a rod this size are welcome. I know traditionally shorter rods are the better choice for reels this size but for the style of lbsf I'm doing I prefer to have a longer rod. Also I will not be building the rod myself, I am having a custom rod maker assemble it for me. So far in my search for a blank I have found that everyone likes the 80-unlimited 10ft gator glass.. What do yall think? And who still carries the unlimited gator glass?
