After reading about it, it sounds like the solve all problem. It doesn't kink like single strand and it is just as strong (stronger actually) so no tigers will chew through it. And you can tie knots (sorta) with it.
Only down side that I have heard is the price.
Has anyone tried it for big sharks?
Do you have a link to anything over 100lb? I've used it for kings in 40lb...or I think it was 43lb...? But never saw the right size for shark fishing
I was wondering about that. Seems that it would be awesome if they made it the right size.
I have used it for shark fishing and was impressed for the most part. I had 83 lb test. The only down sides to it was when sea weed blew in. The sea weed pulled my line all over the place and made a bird nest out of about 150 yards of it. The other down side to it is if you get hung up on something you want to make sure you can break your line at the leader as you don't want to have to cut the wire and leave a 300 yard tail out there for everyone to get hung up on. Fighting a fish on it was great as you felt every little twitch ( no Stretch ).
I wasn't thinking of using it as mainline, but as a leader.
Wire main line sound expensive and difficult to deal with.
