Hey Guys...............I am just getting into shark fishing and I am wanting to purchase a kayak to take bait out but I am not sure which one is the best to get this accomplished with..............what do you suggest would be the most stable of the lower priced kayaks for someone who is 6'3 & weigh around 235?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I can say the Ocean Frenzy and the Malibu Mini X both rate high in weight ability. Both are wide stable platforms and can be found on Craigslist at good price. I got a nice deal on a Frenzy not long ago.

You also may want to look into the outriggers that add bouancy and stability to the yak. Here is a post about them

I have an Emotion Spitfire which i bought for $249 some months ago and i'm happy with it.It's not too long ,light weight and handles the surf pretty good.My buddy Shannon had used it and he's 265 ;i'm 225 and don't have any problems with it at all .They sell them at Jeff's Kayaks in Dania beach.Hope thet helps.
