Which one do you guys prefer for for catching hammers and tigers from the beach; Shimano Tiagra 80w or Penn International 80w. Thanks in advance!

If you are going to target the hammers, get the tiagra 130, load it up with 200lb line and brace yourself. keep that fight under 30 minutes. the tackle can handle it on most fish. if its a BIG fish, might run a one hour fight time based on how far of a bait drop.

You need to have high drag out put. The reason I say this, is to decrease fight time for the sake of the shark. At minimum, you need 50lbs of drag.
