So I picked up this reel at a pawn shop today to $20. It came with a nice rod that I can always use but I cant figure out for the life of me what it is. It has no marking on it. Any help would be great.
Thanks
Adam

Its a really cool find! The Leverdrag looks like a Fin-Nor's style. http://fishingcollectables.com/reels.htm Slasher has posted some other excellent antique reels sites. All I would do is spend a few hours looking through antique reel sites or classic reel sites.

Finnor, everol, and penn traits, all of these companies came out with many prototypes that were released to fishermen to test. So if it's a prototype you may never find the thing. But from the looks on the sideplate it looks like it's missing a sticker or something that may have revealed it. Also have seen reels machined by random anglers, that's actually how a lot of reel companies started... Zane Grey started producing his own big game reels at one point. But I'd say most of the details on that reel say Fin-nor.

Definitely would be cool to fill with some mono and see how it works on some fish or sharks.

Just an average fisherman.

With the clicker being on the reel handle side I would say a fin nor as opposed to an everol......

hey sorry for the late reply had a lot on my plate. Turns out it is a Fin Nor Silver regal. Finding details on this has been tough but I did find out that it was worth the 20 I dropped on it and then some. Took it to a buddy of mine so I can try to put it back into service. Thinking about powder coating parts of it for looks since I can't find the orginal decals. Will post pictures if I ever decide to do anything really cool with it. Thanks for all the help.
