I'm going to North Carolina in a couple of weeks to go shark fishing from the beach and I'm using a penn senator 9/0 and I was wondering if I could catch a hammer or a tiger with this setup. By the way I have 600 yards of 100 pound braid backing and 120 yards of 130 pound mono topshot. So would it be possible to catch a hammer or tiger with this setup any addition comments on bait and rigging would be helpful. Thanks!

It is possible to land on a 9/0. You could also fund yourself outgunned!
Also, particularly with Hammers, a prolonged fight can be deadly. If you are to target these fish, make sure you can put the heat on them with good drag!
