I bought Chris' orange avet 80w from him after he used it only once and it still had no scratches. This marked my first 2 speed "gold" reel I have ever owned. I figured if I have an orange reel there is only one option for a rod... blue and orange. Go Gators!!! For the blank I chose the 8' Blackfin 496xxh rated 80-130lbs. I had the builder do all fuji sin guides except for a #20 stuart roller tip. I had the rod cut some so that total length ended up at 7'6" so it could fit in my 8' truck bed and fit under my bed cover with room to spair. The only other thing I requested was for the word Bullgator to be put on it. I was given that name a couple years ago when all I was catching were bull sharks and then I caught a 9' alligator on my 14/0 while shark fishing. The gator was released as soon as I realized what I had. The rod came out great, exceeded all my requirements, and I say thanks again to the builder (you can say your name if you want).
