How big of a shark could I catch on number ten single strand I got some for my spinning rod for short drops would it b better to double it up?

Definitely double it up.
I caught a 7ft bull shark that had a hook in his mouth and a foot o tow of wire. It was single strand, maybe # 15, couple kinks in it before the breaking point. I got her in on # 19 wire.
