New hook, I call it 30/0 Rebar J
Just kidding it is my home made flying gaff for big sharks, rays and halibut. It is about 18" long with a welded eye and filed barb.

now thats a conversations piece.
i made my flying gaff for the kayak out of a 14/0 mustad J hook, 3ft of 1/16th cable attached to 550 cord and a bouy.
