Need to replace a couple of spread 3 piece spools 12/0-14/0

I have broken spools on one 12/0 and one 14/0 this year. They are the old chrome multipiece spools. I want to replace them with black spools. I have found them online for $131 for the 12 and $238 for the 14. Before I buy at those prices, I just wanted to see if anyone had a line on spools at a better price.

If you can help just email, PM or call me at 713-894-2418.

The spools are supposed to be interchangeable.

I dont know where your located, but there is a shop over here called "Indian Rocks Tackle" Bill Greenway or His wife Donna should be able to provide any info you are looking for & most likely have the spools in stock. Bill carries penn parts all the way up to a 16/0 727 595 3196 Hope this helps

i know the black spool for a 9/0 wont fit a chrome spool 9/0 unless you buy some other parts. i think it may be the same for the 14/0

You know, thats an Idea I never thought of pantyhosesharker(great idea!!) I'm a welder by trade & if you could find a local welding shop in your area that can tig/heliarc , you might find it to be in the price range of $50-$75 for both repairs & alot cheaper than replacing both spools. If this is the route you go,dont be afraid to ask to see the welders work. You dont want your repair all globed on,a good tig/heliarc pass should look like a nice tight & uniformed stack of dimes laying on their side. Good luck

before you spend money on welding, make sure they didnt bend when they broke, i had a 9/0 with a 3 piece spool and it was bent, even welding would not have fixed it.
