my 12/0 seems to be way to free when in free spool. when i have my rod on clicker if there is any wind or even the smallest waves it makes my clicker go off. im pretty sure if i got a big run i would have a huge rats nest. is there anyway to adjust this?
I just put it in gear and back my drag way off. Then you have plenty of adjustment.

I would guess a new "clicker" would help with this. BUT, my clicker is pretty light and my 12/0 is nearly brand new. Thats why I just back my drag off in the pipe.
Try my old trick use a large sponge, just wedge it in between the line and the bar. BUT make sure when you get a hit the sponge is in a place where it will pop directly out and not go inward.
Have also used rags and such but i found a kitchen sponge best.

The tongue inside of your reel, which is on the left side might be shaved down from overall previous usage.

The C-Ring that holds the clicker may be bent outwards a little, bend them back inwards carefulyl without breaking them to add more clicker tension... if the actual clicker gear or tongue is warn down you can't do anything about that except replace something.

OR cant you just tighten up the ball bearing so it gets tighter on free spool?? lol
