Leader Ratings

Hey I don't know about you guys but when I shop for leader I hit up the nearest Home Depot and get some cable for $0.25 a ft (a lot better than the $25 30ft 480# they sell at tackle shops) but my question is that the cable that I pick up is rated 98# at Home Depot and it seems like its the same diameter as the 480# at any tackle shop. Anyone have any idea if a different rating system is used?

I would say the 98 lb rating is why its 25 cents a foot... just cheaper metal used to make it. I really like http://www.sanlosteelcable.com/product- ... p?PFID=127 it is well wort it. Stuff is almost indestructible 8-)
