trying to splice the two together but braid seems just too small to allow the mono in. I can get an inch or so in but no more. using the correct size daho needle.
any tips or tricks to getting the mono in? wetting the line help?

I have used cooking spray to help loosen it up.

Thanks Mr Ansel, that helped quite a bit and I did get one splice done that way. 3 more to go. Then I discovered that my daho needle pointed end has a huge burr on it that was hindering the line sliding through the braid. Upon closer look it is where the needle wasn't formed properly and the point was left open a bit. I will solder in some thin wire to close the opening and give it another go.
