How often do u replace your leaders ? I've had one on for awhile, that seems to still work fine but noticed the point of the hook is beginning to rust. I want to make sure my setup is good to go, but I also don't want to throw out perfectly good equipment.i always worry about salt getting into the swivels and breaking off upon hook set.Do u guys replace them after a certain number of fish on ? Or a certain number of trips ? Or every season? What's a good rule of thumb for leader replacement ?

When I see rust on the leader I replace the leader and swivels rust on the hook means I will sand clean and resharpen the hook if it is not pitted. I check all before every trip.
