Stay away from stainless hooks. Expensive and bad for sharks as they don't ever rust away. I know charkbaitnhad 12/0 mustad tuna ( #7691-X, forged, cadmium, brazed eye, not kerbed) j's for 30$ for 10. 9.99 a hook is way too much.
John H. Aka Mako on this site sells gear at really good prices. Pm him. I just made a good size order.

Thanks, i know know its allot for hooks, the only place that sells them close to me are crooks.....and they're not even SS hooks

And i dont cut out the hooks, i remove them with a chain sleeve, i also set strike at about 50lbs so i don't think i have ever got anything but a jawshot. i just want stainless so they stay sharp, don't rust and they are much stronger

Stay away from stainless, gut and gill hooks do happen eventually.I like hooks that if they can't be removed to know that they will rust out.

stainless hooks are actually softer than regular steel hooks - you will bend out a stainless hook before you will a regular one.

those non stainless mustads sharpen very easily, I only touch mine up every once in a while and it only takes a few seconds. I have a few hooks that have been in use for 3 years now
