Haywire twists

Hey guys, I just started making shark rig, and so far, tying haywire twists with #19 wire is proving to not be very easy. Will the twists below hold up to a big shark, or not a chance?

Top rig looks good, bottom one could use some work.

Those aren't haywire twists, those are wraps. For the first part you want to twist the wires around each other..cross them at a 90 degree angle, then turn the loop part by the hook and twist. With those rigs, the tag end is only wrapped around the main wire and it is asking for trouble. If you were to hook a shark with some size to it, what will happen is the loop will cinch down over the hook eye, then the wire will slip and the hook will part. It will probably hold up against most sharks you hook into but why risk it? Twist the wire together..should be instructions on the back of the packaging.

That's not a haywire twist. Remember to twist both idea at same time
