i spooled my 50w with 130 lb jerry brown and i am trying to splice 130 momoi onto it but im having trouble getting the needle into the braid. all the videos ive watched the needle slides in easily but no matter how hard i try i can only get it like an inch. any suggestions?
are you positive you order/got sent hollow core? some one could have messed up and sent you solid.
I was going to say that, or is the needle the right size? I havent done the splicing myself except with 300 jerry brown and 300 momoi extra hard without a needle, what a PITA!

yea i checked the spool and it is hollow core and the needle is for 130-150 lb mono and im using 130 braid and 130 mono
Try watching some of the videos on youtube, they have little pointers to help out like keeping the needle above the braid so gravity pushes it through.
