Yea man, I know I'm going either straight 100 or 125. And getting a custom rod from x-generations fishing or monoxide (Shawn I believe his name is)

Yeah, Monox is Shawn, he's a good dude. Id go with the 125lb just because of its higher abrasion resistance over 100lb. My 14/0 came with new 100lb and the sandbars were playing hell on it, so I stripped off about 400yds and tied in and topped it back off with 360yds of 125lb and couldn't be happier . Unless I found another big spool of 200lb tuffline and spooled the 14/0 up and topped it off with as much 150lb or 200lb mono I could fit 8-). But tuffline costs a fortune, awesome stuff but big bucks $$$, I think I paid $200.00 for a 1200yd spool. I love the stuff and under no circumstances can I break it, no way shape or form! I just cant afford any more of it . I had my 12/0 spooled to the rim with it but a jerk boater took half a spool before I could cut it off. It still resides (years later) as backing on the 12/0 topped off with 125lb mono.

You gotta love those big 14s they feel good...I spooled mine with black 200lbs dacron....either go with 125 or 150...it just depends what your gonna do....shall I reccomend a rod the Colman sotrars for 175...there only 5 foot 8 but the go from 100lbs class to 200lbs class id go with the 50-130 if I were you...ipicked the 130-200 and its a basically a 5 and a half foot telophone pole
