First REAL shark reel.
Yeah, Monox is Shawn, he's a good dude. Id go with the 125lb just because of its higher abrasion resistance over 100lb. My 14/0 came with new 100lb and the sandbars were playing hell on it, so I stripped off about 400yds and tied in and topped it back off with 360yds of 125lb and couldn't be happier
. Unless I found another big spool of 200lb tuffline and spooled the 14/0 up and topped it off with as much 150lb or 200lb mono I could fit
. But tuffline costs a fortune, awesome stuff but big bucks $$$, I think I paid $200.00 for a 1200yd spool. I love the stuff and under no circumstances can I break it, no way shape or form! I just cant afford any more of it
. I had my 12/0 spooled to the rim with it but a jerk boater took half a spool before I could cut it off. It still resides (years later) as backing on the 12/0 topped off with 125lb mono.
