Double Hook or Single Hook rig?

I made my first rig based off a double hook rig I found from someone online, Blacktiph, and I hooked up bonito on it but didn't get any bites. I looked into it and saw that the rig was for monster sharks which might have been the problem.

I started hooking up smaller chunks of bonito to each hook separately and caught a small 3.5 foot spinner. Did the heavy rig have too much metal for medium sharks? Does that make a huge difference in your experiences?

Thanks

Your assumption may be correct. Josh (BlackTipH) has a video for smaller rigs as well.

I recommend using a single hook rig for the black tips and you can also wrap the hook in electrical tape. (Up to the barb but do not wrap the barb)

double hook rigs are nice if you have a big bait like a decent ray or cuda. bonitas you can thread a single hook through and set it where ever you would like to.

I like a single just fine for small Bonito. This is one of my small baits ;)
