i'll give you the secret: put electrical tape on the wire
or

Malin stainless steel leader wire is ideal for rigging all types of bait or lures when you need abrasion resistance and protection from sharp teeth. This NEW coating makes this leader material exceptionally good for Shark fishing. Nylon Coated Stainless is solid single strand stainless steel leader. It is packaged in resealable bags for easy use and storage.
We keep this in stock.
maybe i was misunderstood Ive seen some people take #19 twist two pieces together and then haywire twist it also for more strength and so it doesnt kink as easy so they say. Thats what i mean!! If that makes better sense. So pretty much your are doubling up two strand of #19. And i tried to twist a haywire with both and it seemed impossible to do. Thats what i was talking about. Sorry for the miscommunication.
The only time you would wanna double up the #19 is to prevent the "cut thorough" of the swivel's eye. I use 900lb tuna swivels, where that cut through is not a problem without doubling the wire. Also, when you get no hits, while you know that sharks are around, the electrical tape does help, although lately i've read that it does matter what kind of electrical tape you're using which i haven't experimented yet.
Since jonathanbryan got some great results using tape, you ain't gonna see him shark fishing without it. Now that i'm thinking this through better - was that the catch how he end-up second in BHC with the biggest shark caught? I hope not
