How do you de hook a shark from a bridge without walking it? Or at least cut the wire short enough when you're 10ft + high up? Thanks

Over at the Skyway Bridge I've seen them just snap the line, usually a mono leader which snaps with a hard yank once the shark is top water. There is no way to really "walk them" on that bridge, so if shark fishing from it one must use other measures such as mentioned. They are big there, too. I guess anyone fishing from bridges has to deal with this, and most bridges offer little to no place to land any good sized shark. Best to check out the layout first and have a solid plan in mind before you toss out the big baits.

Some guys got a 5ft bull shark last night at the North Sebastian Jetty. They actually got it up using a bridge net. The best part was when they were ready to throw it back. I lobbied for tail-roping him and lowering him down but instead they literally threw it back. (think Sharknado!)
He didn't appear to be injured; and it was pretty funny, but I'll ask a related question:
What's the best way to let a shark go from 20ft over the water? From the Skyway, maybe a parachute?

It's not going to be such a major problem with a 4 or even 5ft shark with a hoop net. I've pulled up Tarpon just as big. That's not going to happen on the bigger sharks. I've seen 10ft lemons hooked at the Skyway, no way to get them up. Yet I do recall a stupid video on YouTube where some idiot used a gaff and then tied it to his car and then backed up. The gaff broke, though, and the shark fell, injured, naturally. Lots of guys on that bridge are hungry and will eat anything, I guess.
